Welcome to Screen Door Pdx Airport (Concourse B)

General Info

If you’re passing through Portland International Airport and craving something comforting yet memorable, Screen Door Pdx Airport (Concourse B) is one of those spots that immediately feels worth the stop. Located at 7000 NE Airport Way, this brunch restaurant blends Southern-inspired flavors with the convenience of a quick airport bite, making it a standout among typical terminal dining options.

What struck me first was how approachable the menu feels. It’s not overly complicated, yet every item seems thoughtfully crafted. The Fried Chicken Sandwich is a clear highlight-crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired with just the right balance of toppings. It’s the kind of dish that satisfies without slowing you down, perfect before a flight. At the same time, the Biscuits and Gravy with Scrambled Eggs delivers that hearty, classic brunch comfort. The biscuits are soft and rich, while the gravy has a savory depth that feels homemade.

If you’re in the mood for something a bit different, the Griddle Burger offers a satisfying twist on a traditional diner favorite. It’s flavorful, filling, and easy to enjoy even when you’re short on time. Meanwhile, the Crispy Fried Oysters bring a coastal touch to the menu, adding variety for travelers looking beyond standard airport fare. And of course, the Biscuits & Gravy on their own are worth ordering if you want a simple yet indulgent dish.

The service setup is designed for convenience, which makes a big difference when you’re navigating travel schedules. You can grab a quick bite without feeling rushed, or sit down and enjoy a relaxed brunch if you have extra time. Coffee is readily available, and it’s a solid companion whether you’re starting your day or just need a mid-trip boost. The option for NFC mobile payments keeps things efficient, and the fact that they accept reservations adds a layer of flexibility not always found in airport dining.

From my experience, the overall atmosphere strikes a nice balance between casual diner vibes and a polished restaurant feel. It’s clean, welcoming, and easy to navigate-even during busier travel hours. Reviews from other visitors often echo the same sentiment: reliable food, consistent quality, and a menu that delivers comfort without compromise.

For travelers moving through Concourse B, Screen Door Pdx Airport feels less like a typical airport stop and more like a destination in itself.

What customers say?

“ I love the OG Screen Door, so I was looking forward to trying the airport version. Didn't disappoint. Fried chicken was fresh, juicy and perfect. Service was great. Not sure why the rating is as low as it is, cracking experience. ”

“ We crossed 3 concourse to get the chicken and waffles and extra special blonde from Terminal Gravity. The chicken is spiced perfectly, moist inside, crispy outside. No notes; it's perfect. Waffles are fluffy and syrup is sweet, which compliments the chicken well. We were seated immediately (at brunch hour). Service was polite and fast. Food came out just a few minutes after the drinks. Atmosphere was not crafted any particular way. The restaurant and bar are set up kind of weird. It works though. I will never skip the chance for this meal when I fly. Best place to eat in the airport. ”

“ I’ve been to the “real” screen door. This is not that. It’s airport food, but it’s pretty damn good airport food. Fried chicken was perfect, waffles were perfect. That is their thing, cant go wrong. If I go back I’d pass on the drink and get a larger serving of chicken and waffles, the mini was a mere snack. ”

“ I'd been meandering PDX for a few hours given an interminably long flight delay before a redeye. Looking for something simple, stopped by Screen Door. (I'd been to their Eastside location many years ago and will vouch for their awesome fries and waffles.) My server, Ashley could not have been nicer, warm and assured me it was more than okay to order scrambled eggs. They hit the spot and given the flight was delayed even longer I inquired if I could get a cup of tea. She returned with a presentation worthy of a pricey tea shop. Thank you Screen Door for accomodating me and especially Ashley who made my day so much better! ”

“ Visiting restaurants in airports can be hit or miss, but Screen Door has become our go-to spot whenever we’re at this gate. The staff is always super friendly and gets you seated right away, and there’s plenty of seating, including at the bar. I ordered the bowl with blackened chicken and added fried eggs — it was hearty, healthy, and perfect for fueling up before a long flight. The coffee is just okay, but there’s a coffee shop right underneath the restaurant if you want something stronger. Overall, consistently a great experience and one of the best airport dining options out there! ”

“ Breakfast burger is pretty good. Fried fish is plain and all flavor comes from the tartar sauce. Waffle chicken is good but not very impressive. The chicken tastes like those in KFC. However, it’s still a good option for breakfast in the airport considering almost everything priced double while this restaurant keeps the price here the same as at the other locations. ”

“ I have visited Screen Door at another location and loved the fried chicken. This time around not so much. The airport location definitely has a nice selection of food however the fried chicken was way over- peppered. I tried slathering in ranch dressing. That didn't work. Then I opened a package of grape jam. That didn't work. I ended up scraping the crust off. I am sure a 1,000 people would love the peppery crust. Just a bit ocer-powering. Now the creamy coleslaw and fries were spot on. Delicious. The wait staff were attentive and smiling. Smiling cures all. Reasonably priced. ”

“ Thank God for the screen door in the Portland airport! The few times we have been stuck here waiting for a flight it has been a welcome reprieve. The food has always been amazing, the cornmeal encrusted anything is very good. We have tried and love the fried oysters, the fried chicken, and the fried catfish. We are always pleasantly surprised and amazed that this is airport food. Thank you, screen door for providing a slice of home while we are waiting at the airport. The staff has also always been extremely amazing, I can’t say enough about the service they provide considering the airport demands. We will always come back here when we find ourselves in terminal B. ”
